Questions for Mr Lynx Anonymous 12/04/2021 (Sat) 07:23:14 No. 3378
Hi! Dumb questions, but really need to know. 1) I am going to have a bunch of plain html articles on the home page. In order to keep the full benefits of node js, do the articles have to be declared somewhere or something? Was wondering if anything special had to be done. 2) I got a digital ocean "*****u optimized" server, 4fast *****u's and 8g ram. For the same price, they have "memory optimized" with only 2 *****u's but 16 gb of ram. Is one or the other server a very obvious choice as being the better server for Lynxchan? Just Lynxchan, nginx, fail2ban will be running on the server, nothing else. The site is going to be very serious so I just want to make sure the best server for the money is used. 3) Since you are taking donations now, how much for you to make a complete Rocky Linux tutorial for setup? Lots of ppl like me use Ubuntu, since you favor Rocky I would be glad to use Rocky, there is a learning curve tho. If you could make a tutorial for ppl to properly install LynxChan on Rocky, I would gladly pay you.
op here. Links to articles on the home page i meant. I assume the articles should go in static/pages but did not know if they have to be declared or something in the code.
op here again. Another pay request is that you make another file that explains the moderation options better. Some of the options lack a good description of exactly what they do, and this is troublesome for a serious person who really wants to know what each mod option does.

> 3) send me a 4chan pass and I'll set up for ya desu
>>3378 The official installation instructions are available on the Lynxchan GitGud: https://gitgud.io/LynxChan/LynxChan Here is also an Ubuntu tutorial, maybe you'll find it helpful. https://web.archive.org/web/20211020100700/https://lynxchan.com/lynxchan/res/7.html Out of curiosity, how many users do you think you'll be handling? What type of site? Of course you should always go by whatever Lynx says
>Mr Lynx it's Ms.
>>3384 Ms Lynx pronouns are she/her
>>3378 1: Just pust them somewhere on the static directory in the front-end, it will be acessible under/.static, respecting the sub-directories, like it does with other static files, such as js and css and even other static HTML. 2: If you use native functions and store media files on disk, memory usage is relative light. I wouldn't know how much better it would be either way. But if I HAD to give an answer, I'd go wit the better *****U. 3: I pretty much already done that. Check the dependencies doc. >>3379 They don't have to be declared anywhere. Static files are served as is, you only need to do extra stuff if you want for static files to use some dynamic features, like the language package strings or to insert other file's content somewhere. >>3380 Really like what? I'm biased, but to me everything is self-explanatory. But sure, I could do that. >>3385 My pronouns are faggot/*****.
>>3386 >not *****/faggot faggot/*****
Is this what you wanted to know? https://pastebin.com/9fb7bJG3 Let me know and i'll commit to the repository.
